In celebration of the engagement of Game of Thrones cast members Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, we’ve crafted a loving look at their relationship. Which will need to suffice as a gift until we know where they’re registered.
Let’s see how their love relationship begins.
Leslie joins Harington (Jon Snow) for the second season of the HBO series as Ygritte, a love interest for the sullen member of the Night’s Watch. That August, the actors are spotted holding hands while at dinner IRL.
The co-stars maintain some space while attending Game Of Thrones The Exhibition in the Big Apple in March.
Leslie appears quite amused during a Game Of Thrones panel and Q&A at San Diego Comic-Con International, sandwiched between her fellow cast members Harington and John Bradley on July 25.
Leslie gushed about Harington to People magazine in an interview published the month prior.
“It was always such a privilege to be working opposite him and such a blessing that we get on in real life because it made our characters more believable,” said Lesile.
Confirming they are indeed a couple, Harington and Leslie made things red carpet official at the Olivier Awards in April. While walking the carpet, the two enjoyed a quick kiss.
The following month, Vogue Italia publishes a story with Harington in which he called filming in Iceland during the show’s second season his best memory. It seems his burgeoning relationship had a lot to do with it.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love (with Leslie),” he shares. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, (it) becomes very easy to fall in love…”
Leslie gave insight to how she and Harington make their relationship work, despite busy schedules as a guest on ITV’s This Morning in August.
“I suppose you make it work,” she reasoned, adding “FaceTime is a must.”
The now out couple openly canoodles in front of photogs on the red carpet for the Olivier Awards in April in London.
During a June appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Harington fielded a question from fellow guest Nicole Kidman about whether he and Leslie would walk down the aisle since they were cohabitating.
“I’ve been put on the spot by Nicole Kidman,” a red-faced Harington replied before explaining he was taking his relationship “step by step.”
A little more than two months before news would break of their engagement, the lovebirds attend the premiere of the seventh season of the HBO hit on July 12 in Los Angeles.
